PECULIARITIES OF THE INDICATORS OF SOCIAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL ADAPTATION OF THE STUDENTS IN THE DYNAMICS OF TRAINING AT HIGHER INSTITUTION OF MEDICAL EDUCATION

SUMMÀRY:
The way of life of the students, as a special social category of the population, united by specif-ic conditions of educational activity and age regularities of organism functioning, is predetermined by certain features of the lifestyle, i.e. a specific system of thinking and behavior aimed at the preserva-tion and strengthening of health.
The aim of the study was to determine the features of the indicators of social and psychologi-cal adaptation of the students in the dynamics of training at the higher institution of medical educa-tion.
Organization and methods of research. Rodgers’ and Diamond’s personality questionnaire was used to identify the features of social and psychological adaptation.
Results. The data obtained indicate that a level of the development of the characteristics of de-sire to dominate and to accept others is the most significant, the characteristics of internality is the lowest, at the same time, the characteristics of integral indicators of self-acceptance and emotional comfort occupy an intermediate position in the structure of social and psychological adaptation, which indicators demonstrate rather intense course of adaptation processes in the students to the conditions of stay at the institution of higher medical education. The highest rates are typical for six-year students (young men) and three- and six-year students (girls) and the lowest ones - for the first-and three-year students (young men) and six-year students (girls).
Conclusions. In the course of the research, the peculiarities of the indicators of social and psychological adaptation among the students in the dynamics of training at the institution of higher medical education have been established.
