PROBLEM ISSUES OF NUTRITION FOR STUDENTS YOUTH

SUMMÀRY:
The purpose of the research: to get acquainted with the experience of applying complex methods of studying nutrition of students in the leading European universities.
Object and research methods: a review of references on the methodological foundations of the study nutrition for students.
Research results and their discussion. According to the results of the study of the eating habits of students of the Faculty of Health Sciences of Białystok Medical University in the Republic of Poland. it was established that more than 40% of people eat irregularly. The average percentage of protein in the energy value of students' diets was 19%, both among women and men. The proportion of fats and carbohydrates corresponds to the recommended values. At the same time, the authors claim that, in general, the examined group demonstrates a sufficiently high level of awareness of the principles of rational nutrition.
The food model of the students of the Academy of Physical Education and Sports in Gdańsk often deviates from hygienic requirements. A higher percentage (69%) of compliance of diets with nutritional recommendations was found in women than in men (23%). Students of the Faculty of Dietetics at the Karol Marcinkowski Medical University in Poznań were offered a questionnaire that included questions about smoking and alcohol consumption, as well as provided an opportunity to test the knowledge and use of the principles of proper nutrition in everyday life. It was established that among students-nutritionists, 87% of people satisfactorily assess their well-being, 76% of respondents were diagnosed with adequate nutrition according to the value of BMI, a large group practices regular sports and controls the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the daily diet.
9% of all surveyed persons at Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University do not eat breakfast at all before classes, the breakfast of all other respondents is about 24.8% of the caloric content of the daily diet, lunch – 36.9%, and dinner – 38.3%. The diets of a significant part of students are multi-deficient and unbalanced in terms of many nutrients,
Conclusions. According to the results of the research, it can be stated that there are various methodological bases for studying the nutritional status of students, which in its turn makes it possible to monitor the actual nutrition of young people, as an extremely important component of a healthy lifestyle.
