SUMMÀRY:
The analysis of data of the literature about influences of water on population health is pre-sented. Infectious disease, the importance of by-products of disinfection of water, and also interrelation of mineral structure of potable water with disease are in detail considered. The attention to limi-tations of such researches in Ukraine and sharp necessity of their carrying out is focused.
