SUMMÀRY:
The state of radio sensing is a normal and adequate response of a person to the radioecologi-cal situation after an accident. A high level of radio sensitivity reduces the quality of life and worsens health. One of the main features of ionizing radiation bioactivity is the absence of subjective sensa-tions and objective changes at the time of exposure to radiation, the discrepancy between the severity of acute radiation sickness and the presence of a latent period of action. Therefore, in the conditions of a major accident, an incorrect assessment of the radiation situation and untimely organization and conduct of protective measures lead to significant negative consequences for the health of the popula-tion. Sanepidservice is a structural subdivision of the health authorities and carries out radioecologi-cal monitoring of environmental objects in the controlled territories, including in areas where nuclear power plants are located.
