CURRENT HYGIENIC PROBLEMS OF HANDLING VARIOUS TYPES OF WASTE IN THE COUNTRY AND WAYS TO SOLVE THEM

SUMMÀRY:
Purpose. To determine the main hygienic problems that arise in the country when handling various types of waste and to justify measures to minimize the negative consequences of the possible impact of such activities on the health and living conditions of the population in the territories adjacent to the waste management facilities.
Research objects. The state of the national regulatory framework in the field of hygiene regarding the management of various types of waste is analyzed in comparison with EU regulatory documents of a similar direction and the actual situation of the field of waste management in the light of modern requirements.
Research results. The hygienic aspects of the most pressing problems arising in the handling of household, industrial, construction and medical waste in Ukraine were considered and analyzed.
Conclusions. The imperfection of the regulatory framework in the field of sanitary-epidemiological requirements for all aspects of activities related to the management of various types of waste has been determined, the need to improve the national regulatory framework in the field of sanitation and hygiene regarding the management of the indicated categories of waste, taking into account the requirements and recommendations of the relevant decisions, directives and EU regulations.
