SUMMÀRY:
This research revealed the advantages and possibilities of applying human health risk as-sessment methodology in establishing technology standards for permissible emissions of carbon oxide into the atmosphere from the sintering machines of mining and metallurgical complex of Ukraine. It was found that the risk of the investigated enterprises, considering that the massive concentration of technological standards for allowable emissions of carbon oxide are achieved at the level of 6500 mg / m3 (sintering zone) and 1500 mg / m3 (cooling zone) (provided at the next conditions: temperature 273 K, pressure 101,3 kPa, oxygen concentration 17%, dry gas), is at the minimum setting. This research is allowed to unify the requirements related to air quality control and to the adoption of adequate environmental protection measures, in accordance with European standards.
