In this article is presented scientific research's outcomes to establish the number and composi-tion of the city's fleet to determine the influence of vehicles emission on air quality and public health. Counting of vehicles conducted in 11 points in Kiev. Automobiles were divided into groups based on the ADEME classification and usual French convention. Determined percentage of different vehicles groups (minimum – hybrids 0,13% and maximum – compact 14,5%). It’s allowed to identify the composition of vehicles groups, which generate significant emissions to the atmosphere and forming inhalation exposure for public.
Research results were compared with similar in France. Research results can be used as the foundation for further research in medical environment and public health management, submission of propositions concerning improve air quality in cities and life quality of urban population.
