The article analyzes the current sanitary, environmental and town planning legislation of Ukraine and the main provisions of the EU Directives in the field of road construction, in particular, the requirements for the placement of enterprises for the manufacture of asphalt concrete.
An environmental and hygienic assessment of the impact of the activities of enterprises on the production of asphalt concrete on the state of the environment, taking into account the requirements of current legislation and the EU Directives.
According to the results of the ecological and hygienic assessment of the asphalt-concrete plants investigated: it is established that ready-made bitumen (oil refining products) is used in pro-duction; enterprises are equipped with modern asphalt-concrete plants with environmentally friendly technologies; dust and gas cleaning systems have been introduced, etc. These measures stipulate the formation of less hazardous and less polluting emissions into the air at the border of the calculated sanitary protection zone from sources of environmental pollution of these enterprises. The foregoing updates the issue of a differentiated approach to the establishment of new hygienic standards for the size of the sanitary protection zone for asphalt plants, taking into account the capacity of the enter-prise, the use of finished bitumen, modern technologies and the introduction of environmental measures.
