Summarized literature materials and the results of own research household and collective wa-ter purifiers that are offered for using in Ukraine are presented. This allowed to scientifically substan-tiate the basic hygiene recommendations for the selection, use and evaluation of water purifiers for tertiary treatment of drinking tap water in places of direct using. These hygienic guidelines can be used as a basis for creation state document of drinking water quality in Ukraine.
