THE RISK OF THYROID CANCER DEVELOPMENT IN REGIONS WITH DIFFERENT PREVALENCE OF AUTOIMMUNE THYROIDITIS AND THYROTOXICOSIS

SUMMÀRY:
The prevalence of thyroid cancer and autoimmune thyroiditis among Ukrainian population is increased in recent years. The question of the interdependence of these diseases remains debatable. The retrospective epidemiological analysis is showed a higher risk of thyroid cancer in areas with higher prevalence of autoimmune thyroiditis and lower one – in regions with higher prevalence of thyrotoxicosis.
