JUSTIFICATION OF THE NECESSARY DISTANCE FROM THE NOISE CONDITIONS FOR THE LOCATION OF RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT ON THE TERRITORY ADJACENT TO THE KYIV TV TOWER

SUMMÀRY:
Objective. To determine the effect of acoustic radiation sources of the TV tower on the acoustic condition of the adjacent rural area and to provide a hygienic assessment.
Materials and methods. External units of cooling systems for TV tower equipment. Acoustic calculations.
Results. The sources of acoustic pollution of the TV tower, which have a negative impact on the acoustic condition of the adjacent territory, have been identified, and their acoustic characteristics have been determined. The expected sound levels from this equipment at different distances from the TV tower were determined. The distances at which the permissible noise levels in the residential area at night (existing and new) are reached are established.
Conclusions. Cooling equipment located on TV towers can be a potential source of acoustic pollution in the rural areas adjacent to the towers. For residential development, the permissible sound levels and sound pressure levels are achieved at a distance of 250 meters.
