The article presents a detailed analysis of the key factors and priorities for parents when choosing toys; distribution of toys based on their functions and composition of raw materials; the du-ration of the direct contact of the child with a variety of toys at home during the day. It is shown that especially the use of toys by children of different age, duration of contact with the mucous membranes and the skin of the child is the basis for the development of the sanitary classification of games and toys and optimize the list of controlled indicators of health safety.
